Um! He thinks it could be dangerous, but he said it wasn't something caused by the Fog or him... ...He didn't know if it can be fixed though, he said he 'felt something' there.

I don't want to just give up because something scary is in there though, so we should definitely fix it..!

Yes. I actually had all the information on Friday but then...well, you know what happened.
Sharing that information didn't seem as important as running free did.

Anyway, the Fourth is half right. It wasn't because of him or Fog-sama, it's not even the humans' faults like the lake was. It's because of the Day God.
She said that her sister cursed the land to "[match] her in death - the scalded earth of unrestrained day".
But it CAN be fixed. Fog-sama said it would be difficult and dangerous, but that it IS possible with Her help.

I know you're not going to like doing that, but I promise it's going to be okay.
She's going to lend me some of her power, so She won't really even be actively helping us. She won't be in the forest, you won't have to talk to Her or see Her or anything.
It'll just be me. And even though you can't trust Her, you can trust me, right?
I don't want to give up either, no matter how dangerous it's going to be.

I think She's just going to boost my revival powers. It's not the same as what they did to the conduits. That was stolen power from the Night God, remember?
So I don't think She'll do that. And I don't want Her to.
I can't say I'm sorry that Lager Woods stayed the way it is. The forest is a lot safer now because of Her fog. People can't go in there and harm nature anymore.
But I don't want to spread that to other forests, because that wouldn't be fair to monsters who aren't aligned with Her.
The whole point of this was to make more natural areas available to all.

But I'll talk to Her again and make Her promise that She won't spread Her fog.
I can't really do anything as a kelpie, so we still have a few weeks to prepare before we even start the attempt.

We also should come up with an attack plan, so to speak. Jataro said he'll help too, but it might not be a bad idea to find a few more trustworthy merpeople (or others with water magic, if there are any?) to help you with irrigation.

It has limits, but it should be okay for things. I can bring Lusus to chew things up for the ground too, maybe...

Not Marco. He still doesn't know of Jataro and I's alignment, and I intend to keep it that way.

...though I suppose that also rules out Fiora-san. She is another mermaid Jataro and I are acquainted with, but she hates both gods.
Even if neither of us are doing this our gods' names...others may not see it that way.
There are intolerant and close-minded monsters on all three sides of this conflict, after all.

[Things were a bit tense with Elias as well-mostly though they both had the same Freak Out reaction to the idea of the Fog being around, so it wasn't really a hard feelings matter.

But it made her wonder-she trusts Nagisa. She doesn't trust the fog. Maybe that was what Elias meant though? That Nagisa could be fooled, or worse, by Her... ....She didn't know. There was no time, and they wanted this forest better..!

Elias promised he'd keep an eye on her to be safe. And she herself didn't want to abandon this effort.]

Okay, [she says. But then, after a while... ....Nagisa's text seems so short.

D.... ...did she get mad at you..? [She may not like the fog or trust the fog or-or anything really.

[Another delay before Nagisa's response appears on the screen and in Reira's mind. The Fog God may have accepted his apology and didn't seem to be mad at him anymore, but Nagisa still feels an uncomfortable, dirty feeling inside. Because forgiveness doesn't actually make the error go away. He still messed up, again. And if he keeps doing that, the Fog God will throw him away. Because that's how it always goes.]

[No matter how small it is, a mistake is still a mistake, and he needs to work as hard as he can not to make those.]

You have nothing to worry about, though.
The power she will entrust to me is meant only to enhance and protect, because the task we've undertaken is difficult and dangerous.

Our bigger concern should be the sort of things we'll encounter once we begin.
If both Fog-sama and the Fourth agree on how potentially dangerous this is, then it's not something we can take lightly.

[Because, you know, they never agree on anything. The fact that they're BOTH saying the same thing is sending up all kinds of flags in Nagisa's mind. Unfortunately, not enough flags for him to reconsider undertaking the task in the first place.]

Yes, more help is better.
As long as the group stays reasonably sized, I'll be able to protect everyone from anything that comes our way.
We just need to be sure to tell them what they're getting into. You need full disclosure with something this dangerous.
